There's nothing more summery than cruisin' with the windows down listening to rad tunes. My husband always laughs at me when it comes to music. I pride myself in finding new music before it hits the radios and when it does become popular I get a sense of pride and tell everyone that I found it first. I suppose you could say it's the fault of my inner hipster, and my desire to be unique and original. Because of that I usually don't share my latest favorites with people because I want to keep them unique... but I saw a photographer friend's post about her favorite songs and decided I would share with you all my latest summer favorites. (these are in no particular order)
1. Oh Devil by Electric Guest
This is one of those tunes that's got a rad beat. Makes me want to get up and dance (in the privacy of my own home - I get my dance moves from my dad...) It's also chill enough where I can zone out and do some photo editing or design work.
2. The Ghost Inside by Broken Bells
You could say I like a good beat and unique sounds. This one is fun, chill, and just a good tune. The bridge of this song is one of my favorites!
3. Classic (feat. POWERS) by The Knocks, POWERS
Now this is a dancing song! Whenever we're driving, Tyler asks me to play this one. It always makes me laugh. Plus it talks about Summer - so how more perfect could you get for summertime?
4. Kaleidoscope by Fenech-Soler
This is one of my most recent finds. It's light. Has a good beat and is a good one for driving, designing, photo editing, and just chill time. (It's funny how a lot of love songs can have some Christian undertones)
5. Thunder Clatter by Wild Cub
Just another solid good beat, that got that fresh summer sound to it.
6. Sunshine - The Knocks Remix by POWERS, The Knocks
Another recent find. Remix's are always hit or miss for me, and sometimes I like the remix's better than the originals. I haven't actually listened to the original of this song, but the remix is pretty classic.
6. Fall Down by Rivers and Robots
One of my all time favorite Christian songs. I hate to say it, but I'm not fond of a lot of the Christian music out there because it all sounds the same. It's SO HARD to find solid, unique, artsy Christian music. Rivers and Robots crushed it with this tune.
